Valley of Fire is one of the most popular wedding destinations in the Las Vegas area. Located just two hours from the Strip, it’s not only a geological wonderland, but it’s also a quiet spot away from the hustle and bustle of Las Vegas where you can focus on what matters – your union to your favorite person!

That’s exactly what Camille and Loic chose to do for their sunny October elopement. Having traveled all the way from France with their closest friends and family, these two exchanged vows and rings under the bright Las Vegas sun, then boogied back to the city to celebrate! I was lucky enough to document their afternoon elopement, organized by Pretty Day Las Vegas – a company specifically for French-speaking couples eloping in Las Vegas.

And yes, I was absolutely delighted to use my French skills with this group!

While Valley of Fire is a magical place to get married, there are some key things to know:

• Valley of Fire only allows weddings booked through companies that carry annual permits. This means you’ll need to hire one of the many Las Vegas elopement companies that can organize this for you.

• Las Vegas gets HOT in the summer months. You’ll usually have the best weather from October to April, but we do get the occasional snowstorm up in the mountains.

• Valley of Fire offers two different ceremony spots – Seven Sisters and the Visitors Center Area. This elopement was photographed around the Visitors Center. After your ceremony, you’re allowed to take pictures in six different areas – but this does need to be listed on the permit you get with the elopement company you hire.

• The earlier you get into the park, the fewer people you’ll have in your backgrounds. I may be great at photoshop, but the less work I do on your images, the faster you get them back!
