Classic Las Vegas Charm | Las Vegas Elopement
Alex and Sawyer met in Vegas and, though they aren’t from here, they wanted to elope with in true Vegas fashion. Since I’ve been around the neon-lit block a few times now, I know all about what goes in to making any wedding or elopement feel like classic Vegas!
So, ladies and gents and non-binary peeps, here’s what I think makes a classic Vegas wedding:
First, getting ready at a classic hotel full of old-school charm makes you feel like you’re preparing to go out and enjoy the height of nightlife. Alex and Sawyer chose El Cortez Hotel — one of my faves — and I loved how it brought so much character to their portraits as they dressed and primped. A stairwell full of beautiful wallpaper made the perfect peekaboo spot for a First Look, too!
Next, a chapel full of Certified Vegas Charm like Sure Thing or Little White Wedding Chapel is the perfect venue. It’s what everyone thinks of when they imagine a Las Vegas Elopement — especially if Elvis or Lady Elvis is your officiant! And, folks, let me tell ya: Lady Elvis was a STUNNER at Alex and Sawyer’s ceremony. The outfit, the lipstick, the pizzazz she brought to the ceremony. Every bit was perfect!
Next up comes something every tourist HAS to do: sightseeing! Las Vegas is full of history, art, iconic buildings, and incredible people. There’s always something to see! We strolled around and captured portraits under Vegas’s classic, old-school signs and historic places, giving these two so many lovely portraits that are going to look FABULOUS framed on their walls.
We finished up their elopement session with a delicious dinner and drinks at the historic Atomic Liquor (another Vegas icon) as they partied with the close friends and family who tagged along for their ceremony.
If you’re hoping to plan the perfect, classic Las Vegas elopement, I’m your girl for all things photography! I’d love to help you brainstorm all the things that will make your elopement full of Vegas charm. Hit me up!
