Lighthearted and Whimsical Door County Fall Engagement Session
Kelsey and Brett are the sweetest people in the whole universe. Periodt.
When these two first contacted me about photographing their wedding, one of their first questions was about the engagement session. We coordinated schedules to where we could meet in Door County, Wisconsin, for a sort-of adventure engagement session that would take us all across the peninsula! We met at a marina in Sturgeon Bay before heading up further north to the iconic Jens Jensen Road leading to the ferry to Washington Island. This road is pretty famous for the curves, and it apparently was designed in such a way to slow down its drivers and force them to take in the natural beauty of this part of Wisconsin. I might be biased, but I think it did a fantastic job of doing just that!
My favorite part of adventure engagement sessions (besides the amazing couples I get to work with) is exploring new places and taking in all of the incredible beauty this world has! Wisconsin is no exception to that, especially as you venture further north. Door County is easily one of my most favorite places on this earth, and TBH I think it’s pretty easy to see why! Exploring this area during peak fall color is nothing short of magical – keep scrolling, and I think you’ll see what I mean.
Kelsey and Brett (and their most perfect pup Ellie) were such a joy to spend this afternoon with. Having planned their wedding for October 2020, we ended up pushing their big celebration by a year, but they still eloped on their original date. Click here to see their fun intimate elopement photos!
