Faith-Inspired and Romantic Wedding in Columbia, MO

Every once in a while, this Las Vegas wedding photographer gets to spread her wings and head to the midwest to capture some super sweet love stories. And this one may just be one of the sweetest of all.

Holly Ann and Josh met while both were studying at Mizzou. They found each other through a church organization, BSU, on campus, and they instantly knew the other was something special. Not only are each of them rooted in their faith and wildly intertwined in their families’ lives, but they also show pigs together at the Missouri State Fair. (!!!) It really can’t get much cuter than this. I made sure to spend a lot of time on their details, not just because they were so adorable, but also because their church was so picturesque (Open Door Church of Columbia, I’m looking at you!) To make things even cuter, Holly Ann’s maids of honor were her two sisters! Talk about squad goals. Next thing you know, it was time to get dressed.

Holly Ann wore her grandmother’s ring on her pinky all day. These little details are truly my favorite parts of any wedding day. The family prayed together, momma got to spend some emotional one-on-one time with her daughter, and then Josh and Holly Ann had a “first non-look,” where they exchanged letters to each other and prayed for their future together.

Y’all I got so emotional throughout this day. I simply adore weddings like this. Before we knew it, it was time to get married!!! After a truly touching ceremony, these two love-birds were officially husband and wife, and it was time to celebrate. There was dancing, there were toasts, there were tears – including from the photographer! We even ran over to Nifong Park for some photos to end the beautiful day!
