Dry Lake Bed Pregnancy Announcement | Desert Photoshoot

Listen — when you love a location, you just love it. And when it comes to the desert surrounding Las Vegas, Danni and Brendan just straight-up love it! Brendan proposed at Red Rock Canyon during a helicopter tour (how freakin’ cool!), then we had the sweetest engagement photoshoot (check that out here), and then they got married at Red Rock just four months later!

Now their family is growing with a little one expected ANY DAY NOW!! With their love of the desert landscape, it was only right that we took their announcement photos in the dry lakebed accompanied by their three pups who, by the way, have their own Insta! @goldenpittypack deserves a follow!

I love including furbabies in any kind of session, but there are definitely a few things to keep in mind if you want yours to tag along! Of course, always bring plenty of water and snacks. Sweaters, bandanas, and bows are always fun to include, but make sure your pet has worn them before so they aren’t stressed about so many new things at once! It’s a good idea to bring a favorite toy, bed, or blanket so they have something familiar to connect with. A photoshoot is also a great excuse to take them for a pampering groom session to make sure they look their best!

Another thing Danni and Brendan did that I love and always recommend was bring a friend to hang out with the dogs while we took some photos that they weren’t in. This is always a great plan to reduce stress and help things run smoothly. But honestly, these pups were ANGELS the entire time! Their dad is a professional dog trainer so of course they were perfect and cute and sweet and adorable and oh-my-gosh-i-just-love-them. Danni and Brendan’s baby is going to be surrounded by so much love and patience with mom being a teacher, too!

I love this sweet couple and I’m so excited to watch them grow into the sweetest family. I hope to see them in the desert again soon with their little adventurer in tow!
