Las Vegas is the freaking best, the bees knees, the jelly jam, the cat’s pajamas — Ok, I think you get my point! I love my city and she reminded me why in the best way for Rachel and Dominic’s engagement session!
To set the scene: Dominic is a Las Vegas native and went to Ole Miss for college. On his very first day in the dorms, he met a beautiful girl named Rachel from a small town just outside of Chicago. Rachel had also decided to explore the beginning of her adult life far away from home! The two of them bonded over a few dates, but mostly explored the traditions and Greek life that a historic Southern college has to offer.
After they made things official their Junior year of college, things only got even sweeter between them, but when graduation rolled around, Rachel went home to Chicago to begin her career as a mechanical engineer. After a brief long-distance stint when Dominic’s career led him to Texas, the stars FINALLY aligned and brought them both to Vegas where they could really put down roots. Their son, a German Shorthair Pointer, joined their family on their fifth anniversary!
From all of us Las Vegas locals, I want to say: “WELCOME HOME!!!”
To celebrate their engagement, they wanted a saucy, rock-n-roll vibe on the streets of the city. And hoo-baby did Vegas deliver! We had a beautiful golden sunset that just lit up the city streets and cast everything in a delicious glow. As we romped around and had a great time capturing this huge milestone in their relationship, Vegas pulled out one of her amazing tricks when a random graffiti artist painted their freaking NAMES on the wall for us to pose with!! Amazing!!
