Sand Harbor Beach Couples Session | Lake Tahoe Engagement Photos
Two of my favorite things are hiking and photographing cute couples.
With this session, I got to do BOTH. At the SAME TIME.
Austin and Isaih are some of the smartest people ever, and I was lucky enough to work with them up in beautiful Lake Tahoe! Hot take: the Nevada side of this alpine lake sees a prettier sunset than the California side. I’m just saying.
These two have been together for just over four years and are full-time Husky dads, so at some point, I’m sure something circular that typically gets worn on a finger is coming. ;)
Sand Harbor Beach is about 45 minutes south of Reno, and about 45 minutes north of Carson City. You’ll have to drive some long and curvy roads, but this place is something straight out of a movie. Like it’s almost unreal because of how clear the water is, and how picture perfect the sunsets are. If the water weren’t so freezing cold, I absolutely would’ve made these two jump in, but alas. They got lucky.
This particular park is also home to the Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival during the summers, in addition to being a great place to fish, swim, boat, and barbecue! Even though there are plenty of things to do at this park, it was actually very empty when we arrived, so we really had the place to ourselves!
If you’re going to brave the rock climbing, I would definitely recommend not doing it with cameras swinging from your hips, but it’s not impossible – speaking from personal experience here.
This evening on Lake Tahoe was beyond perfect, and I’m so looking forward to coming back. If you’re obsessed with both the beach and mountain vibes and want your own photos done here, hit that button below, and let’s do this!
Destiny and Todd and I went on an adventure up to Mt. Charleston and boy what an adventure we had! Read about our day and the lovely area of Mt. Charleston.
