Urban Downtown Portland Engagement Session

Social media is such a funny beast.

Stay with me here:

I was scrolling through Instagram on my personal account when I saw a photo of my friend Megan and her wife, Valerie. I first met Megan when I was 4 years old. Our dads were friends in school, so we became inseparable. We even dressed up as characters from Barney for Halloween one year.

Megan and I lost touch after my family moved away, but thanks to social media and the digital age, we reconnected.

So anyway, I had an elopement coming up in Portland. And as I saw her photo, I saw a comment from someone in Portland named Chase.

So I creeped. And I saw Chase had recently become engaged to his super cute fiancée, Samantha.

So I did something I had never done before, and I randomly DM’d Chase to see if he and Samantha would be down to model for this Portland Engagement Photographer.

Originally? She said no. But I guess something convinced her otherwise, and we ended up having the BEST afternoon together running around Portland.

I’ll shut up now and let you see for yourself.

We bopped around downtown for a bit, then we headed up to Cathedral Park in St. John’s, where I crossed over the tallest bridge I’ve ever been on.

Seriously, these two are the definition of goals. I can only imagine how STUNNING their winter wedding will be in just a few short years!

Thanks again, Samantha and Chase, for hanging out with me on this perfect afternoon. Y’all rock my socks. 😍

Doesn’t it feel a little like fate that you found me here? If you’re down to hang with this Portland Engagement Photographer- give me a shout and let’s get the gears going!
