Mount Charleston Forest Engagement Session
It’s so funny how people’s paths cross with such similarities. I met these two because Brandon is actually my nail artist’s brother, and these two live in Wisconsin, aka my old stomping grounds!
Brandon and Courtney came to town for a family matter, but they still wanted to book an engagement session, so we snuck one in on the one evening we all happened to be free! It also happened to be the most golden glowy evening with the most perfect weather!
Since these two came all the way from Wisconsin, they wanted their photos to look similar to their home state. Having lived in both places, I knew immediately that Mount Charleston was the way to go! With the variety of forest and mountainous looks, you really can’t go wrong. Plus, the pine trees make the entire environment green year-round, and the area is about 30 degrees cooler than Las Vegas, so it’s a nice escape from the summer heat!
Mount Charleston is not only a town just outside of Las Vegas, it’s also a huge 11,916 foot mountain, and it’s also the tallest point in Clark County. There are more than 20 hiking trails in the area, totaling to about 60 miles of hiking length. The Cathedral Rock trail is my personal favorite, and I’m just waiting for a couple to want to hike up there with me for photos. You can’t beat that view!!
