Las Vegas Intimate Wedding | Little White Chapel

High school sweethearts are a different breed, man.

There’s something so special about marrying your high school sweetheart. Not only did you get lucky enough to find the love of your life so young, but you get to grow up together and become the best versions of yourself together. Of course, every couple sees each other through the highs and lows of life, but I have a different level of respect for couples who go through puberty and the craziness of high school together, and STILL choose each other!

Josie and Charles had originally planned their elopement for the last weekend in April. We settled on the last Friday of the month, and a few weeks later, the NFL draft was announced for the same weekend, thus making it impossible for their families to find enough hotel rooms for everyone. Most couples would think to push their elopement back and give themselves more time to plan, but not these two! They actually pushed their date two weeks up! Talk about organized, amiright?

Their beautiful day started at Bally’s on the Strip, where Josie was getting ready with all of her favorite ladies, and her best friend did her hair and makeup, which made this so much more special. Eventually, it was time to get dressed and put on all the finishing touches, including a family heirloom ring. We headed over to the Little White Chapel, where Josie and Charles were able to see each other privately before getting married.

Side note – it’s nearly impossible not to see your fiancé before getting married in a Las Vegas chapel. These venues are just way too tiny, and if you’re concerned with the superstition of not seeing each other before you get married, I would truly recommend a different venue! Having a first look, or even getting ready together, creates much less stress right before the biggest moment of your relationship.

While these two were chatting just moments before saying their vows, Josie’s mom surprised her with a charm attached to her flowers. Josie’s father passed away a few years prior, so this charm still let Josie be escorted by him down the aisle to Charles. It was around this moment that most of the eyes in the room started welling up.

Once these two had committed to forever and sealed it with a kiss, the party began! We flowed through their formal portraits around Fremont Street, hearing “congratulations” being yelled at them from all directions – which is truly one of the most fun parts of eloping in Las Vegas. Locals and tourists alike are always excited to see happy just-married couples!
