Las Vegas Backyard Gender Reveal

Are you ready to see the sweetest baby girl gender reveal of all time? Well buckle your socks – or whatever they say – because this little family is one very close to my heart and I’m so excited to share their session with you all! 

My friendship with Justin and Elaine started way back in 2019 when the world was a much simpler place and it has stayed strong through all the chaos of life since! I’ve captured their Las Vegas Fremont Street engagement photos, their first gender reveal, maternity pictures, and newborn pictures of sweet Archie. So when I found out they were expecting baby number two and wanted me to join them for another gender reveal announcement photoshoot? THRILLED is an understatement. 

Elaine sent me lots of inspo from other reveals she had seen on social media and I loved it! Social media is a great resource for finding ideas that you love for every part of your session. As your photographer I can honestly say it adds so much to a session to have a clear vision for what kind of pictures you want from your session. Here are some of my favorite reasons for why you should get some inspiration by looking at other sessions on social media before your shoot:

• Posing – Looking at lots of options for poses can take some of the awkward feelings out of how to stand, whether to walk or sit or skip, and the age-old question of “what do I do with my hands?” I don’t use formal “poses” often but I will always guide you to make sure any poses we do set up look and feel natural. Plus, if you see a pose you really love it will go on our “must-capture” list!

• Outfit choices! Coordinating outfits without straight-up matching can be SO hard, but the looks on Pinterest? They’ve got it down. Check it out and find some looks you love!

• Props, accessories, and location: Not sure if you want an urban vibe or a patio party? What about a letterboard? Balloon arch? How about some decision paralysis for a little razzle-dazzle, amirite! There are so many little details to consider and visualizing it all can be tough. Scrolling through reels or searching hashtags like #genderrevealphotoshoot can give you a wealth of ideas on how different elements come together.
