Fremont Street Engagement Photos | Downtown Las Vegas

By now, you’ve seen a million photos from Fremont Street, but maybe you’re not exactly sure why it’s so popular. Not only is it one of the main places that I photograph couples, but it holds huge amounts of historical significance to the city of Las Vegas.

Fremont Street was one of the original streets in Las Vegas, and it played a pivotal role in the city's early development. It was named after John C. Frémont, a prominent explorer and military officer of the 19th century. This area was home to some of the first casinos and hotels in Las Vegas. The Northern Club, which opened in 1931, is often considered the first fully licensed casino in the city. This marked the beginning of Las Vegas's transformation into the gambling destination it is today!

In recent years, there has been a concerted effort to revitalize the Fremont Street area, particularly in the eastern section known as the Fremont East District (which is largely where this session was held). This revitalization has brought new life to the historic street, attracting a diverse crowd of visitors and contributing to its ongoing historical and cultural significance.

With the bright lights and different street vendors, this area is classically Las Vegas, so it made sense for Ericka and Fernando to hold their engagement session here leading up to their big day!

These two originally met allllllll the way back in middle school. Life took them different directions, but about 9 years ago, they reconnected and became inseparable. Fernando wanted his proposal to Ericka to be meaningful, so he took her back to the middle school where they met and asked her to be his forever.

Y’all. I can’t deal with how cute it is.

The three of us ran around like kids in this adult playground, and I think it’s pretty clear we had an absolute blast!
