Ra Ra Rave Romance | Las Vegas Proposal at the Bellagio
Tony and Celynna found themselves in Vegas doing one of their favorite things together: Raving, baby! They came to town for the Electric Daisy Carnival and a fancy steak dinner. And then — GASP!! — a proposal!!!
Tony had the perfect plan together for this little couple’s vacay to and his dedication (and ability to go with the flow) made me think of a few of my biggest tips for planning a proposal:
Make it match your person: This applies to obvious things like location, timing, and gifts, plus less obvious things like would your partner appreciate a heads up on looking fancy (Hint: stage dinner at a nice restaurant like Tony!) or would they appreciate a special, nontraditional touch because you’re a nontraditional couple (like a juicy hamburger instead of a ring). And if your person loves a bouquet of flowers (and a handle of Henny like Celynna) then you better bring just that!
Know that things might go wrong or differently than you expected, but just go with the flow and trust that you’re doing right by your person. During Tony’s proposal to Celynna in front of the Bellagio fountains, they didn’t go off even once! Did it matter in the end? Absolutely not! Remember: if you love each other enough to ask them to marry you, then repeat after me: Everything will be fine!
Know who needs to go: Does your partner love big surprises and social settings, or do they prefer celebrating special moments with only their favorite person (that’s you!)? Involving a large group of friends might be the way to go, or involving all family members for a special connection, or — gasp — nobody but the two of you!
And finally: prepare prepare prepare, then be in the moment. Make a plan, stick with it, then remember to be present and give your all as you propose to your sweetie. That way you know you’ll love the memories (and the pictures) of one of the biggest moments of your life!
If you have more questions on how to make your proposal the best it can be, don’t hesitate to reach out to me! I have seen LOTS over the years, so I know how to get it done right. Ready? Let’s go!
