San Diego Winter Wedding | Bali Hai + Humphreys Half Moon Inn Intimate Wedding

These two have a story longer than Moby Dick.

Okay, maybe not literally, but their story is absolutely noteworthy.

Flash back to early 2021 – Krystal gets in touch with me about photographing their Las Vegas wedding. She and Narong had met in 2018 and instantly connected. They met expecting nothing but a great friendship, but we can see how that worked out.

They knew they wanted to host a wedding that was in the perfect spot for everyone to travel to, and what was better than a Vegas vacation?

A few months later, Krystal contacted me to say that they had some unexpected health issues come up, and that they wanted to focus on what mattered – their marriage and the beginning of their family! So, we pushed the wedding up and moved it to their hometown of San Diego! As a traveling wedding photographer, it’s always a “yes” from me!

Krystal and Narong chose to make it official about 6 months before the celebration, but wanted to hold the celebration later in the year. We found a date that worked for everyone – something that was close enough to the holidays for everyone to be in town, but also not too close to where I couldn’t make it (ya girl’s got a family, too) haha. We packed up the car and drove to San Diego, ready to boogie!

Krystal told me about a month before the wedding that they would have an unexpected guest in attendance, too. Keep scrolling to see what I mean. :)

The entire week, the forecast didn’t look great. It was going to be a bit rainy and cloudy the entire time. As someone who got married in a torrential downpour, I’m up for anything! Thankfully, the clouds broke just in time for their first look and portraits, and their ceremony and reception would be covered, so there was no stress there. Their entire day turned out to be completely magical, sunshine and all.
