Moody Nighttime Las Vegas Elopement
Anna and I are in like 13 Facebook groups together, but we didn’t officially meet until three weeks before she got married. Our senses of humor are almost scarily similar, and our hearts are both dominated by black cats.
She told me she was coming to Vegas for her boss’s bachelorette party and wedding, and while she didn’t want to overshadow those events, she just really wanted to marry the love of her life, Jordan.
So this Las Vegas Elopement photographer helped make a plan for them to elope. They would land in Las Vegas, run to the marriage bureau, and head over to the hotel for hair and makeup before going out to red rocks for their ceremony with Sandbox Weddings.
Even though the two wanted to do a first look, Jordan needed his hair braided. But I guess it still counts as not seeing each other if he’s not facing her, right?? :)
So then the two got a quick moment to have a first look, and then it was time!!!
The day ended up running just a biiiiiit later than planned. By the time we got out to red rocks, the sun had gone completely down. But honestly? I think the photos are a million times cooler this way.
The two practice jiu jitsu, so they decided to end their ceremony with a traditional jiu jitsu throw, followed by the kiss!
(it looks a zillion times scarier than it is lol)
We then drove back to downtown Vegas for some incredible portraits!
And what elopement is complete without In-n-Out?
The world’s biggest thank you to Anna and Jordan for trusting me to document this special evening elopement. I’m so incredibly thrilled for both of you, and I can’t wait to see what this life brings you two.
Thanks so much to Sandbox Weddings and Claribel Tovar for making this day happen so wonderfully!
