JW Marriott Wedding | Las Vegas Wedding
Sometimes I photograph bigger weddings, but only if the couple is like, really cute.
Enter Anissa and Travis.
These two could not have picked a more perfect day to hold their wedding. It was beautifully sunny in Las Vegas, they had the perfect venue with an impeccable design scheme, and it helped that they were just SO stoked to finally be getting married. Their springy color scheme worked absolutely perfectly with their outdoor ceremony space since it was so lush and green, and they timed their ceremony to happen during golden hour, so their photos were just * chefs kiss! *
JW Marriott is a perfect venue for couples who are wanting that classy Las Vegas vibe for their wedding. Located just a few minutes from the edge of town, this venue has beautiful mountain views and so many different options based on how many guests you’re having at your wedding. The Valencia Ballroom is my favorite, as the circular design lets your guests see you from every angle, and there are 360-degree windows letting in light from everywhere! This is exactly where Anissa and Travis held their wedding celebration.
Larger weddings require a lot of moving parts, especially when there are surprises thrown in! These can be surprises for the guests, or surprises for the couple – but please no surprises for the photo and video team haha. The first surprise of the day was the custom flasks that Travis had made for his groomsmen. None of them expected it, but it was a great gift for his favorite guys. The next surprise was Mariachi band that played during cocktail hour, as their guests had no idea that was coming! And finally, during their reception, the wedding planner had the dance floor wrapped with their names and wedding date, which was a total surprise to the couple! You can scroll to see how they reacted to it, cause it was absolutely perfect!
The wedding reception went off perfectly, complete with indoor fireworks, which has been such a fun new trend in the wedding industry! These require professionals, so please do not DIY this! Most couples will use these indoor fireworks during the first dance, like Anissa and Travis, or they’ll use them for their grand entrance into the reception. I’ve also seen some couples use these kinds of fireworks for their exit from the reception, too!
