Seven Magic Mountains Anniversary Photos

Wait wait wait, so you’re telling me that not only do I get to work with some of the most amazing couples on their wedding days, but I ALSO get to photograph them for their anniversaries??

Sounds fake. I’m in.

Shelby and Garrett make my job just a little too easy honestly. When I worked with them last year during their Las Vegas elopement, they just knew all the right angles and how to pose themselves with ease. Upon creeping on their instagram, they’ve modeled for quite a few photographers, which makes sense considering how crazy good they are at it!

So when I got their inquiry in my email for the second year in a row, I was BEYOND stoked. Since we had hit two of the best spots in Vegas for their photos last year (AKA Fremont Street and the Strip), we opted for something different this year – the desert! Once we figured out their schedule, we decided it was best to met at sunrise for their anniversary session. As soon as I told my husband I booked a sunrise session, he cringed. But I said, “No it’s totally fine, they know how to pose themselves so it’ll be easy!”

Seriously, y’all. I’m blessed with the best.

I love photographing at the Seven Magic Mountains at sunrise because there’s absolutely no one around! I think the entire hour we were in the area, we saw one other family who arrived about 30-minutes after we did. Being that it was sunrise, we actually started the session in the nearby dry lakebed. The colors just hit so differently in the morning light, and who wouldn’t love snuggling their favorite person first thing in the morning??

Shelby, being an amazing and wonderful tailor and fabric-working-hobbyist, actually lobbed off their wedding dress to create this beautiful tea-length gown for their anniversary session. Garrett donned his original suit from their elopement, and then a special spicy number made an appearance halfway through the session!

It’s always an honor when couples not only ask me to document their elopement, but also their anniversaries! So if you’re looking for your new favorite Las Vegas anniversary photographer, I got you.
