Tivoli Village Engagement Session | Italian-Inspired Las Vegas Engagement Photos
Sometimes you move across the country and randomly meet someone on a facebook group dedicated to fans of a particular podcast (SSDGM).
And then you offer to take that person rock climbing to get to know them, and you figure out that you have a beautifully fun friendship together.
Well, that was me and Calina in 2019. And now, not only is she one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met, she’s also my dedicated dog sitter, and best of all, my client! I absolutely love cultivating friendships with my clients beyond just the working relationship. It’s pretty easy to do when you’re working with people as kind as Calina and JD.
Calina said, “We've known each other for almost 5 years now! As you know, we moved to a completely new state in 2018 and I truly believe that is what made our love what it is today. We truly appreciate one another and try our best to make each day count. We're the best of friends! Which makes each day a fun adventure.”
And when you hear about their proposal story, you’re gonna be teary-eyed. I know I was as I watched it all go down on Insta-stories.
“We got engaged in my parent's friend's "shed." We were having a neighborhood BBQ, he wasn't expecting to propose that day, but he just couldn't wait any longer! He turned the music down and proposed in front of my family and close friends. Our favorite phrase is, "I love doing life with you." So, to propose, he said, ‘Sweetheart, I love doing life with you, and I'd love to spend the rest of my life with you.’ It was so sweet and in the moment and totally US.”
Like are you freaking kidding me?? I love when couples make the proposal uniquely them. It really sets the tone for the marriage, and I just know these two have the most fun and joyful relationship ahead of them.
“Our favorite thing to do together is golf, or go out to eat for breakfast,” Calina said. “I've truly contemplated having breakfast food catered at our wedding! We golf together once or twice a week, and we just started entering in tournaments together!”
I STG if there are waffles at that wedding reception, I will never leave haha.
So to celebrate their engagement, we headed over to Tivoli Village, which is this super neat Italian-themed shopping center. Just goes to show you that even a mall can be a beautiful backdrop for your photo session! We timed this session just right so that we would get both the golden glow of sunset, as well as the after-dark moody vibes of twilight. It was absolutely perfect for these two! Also, get you a partner who commits to skipping like JD does.
