Choosing the Right Proposal Photoshoot Location | Las Vegas Proposals
Coming all the way from Knoxville, Tennessee, Logan and Blaire lit up Red Rock Canyon with their romantic, adventure-centered love! Logan reached out with a plan to propose on day one of their 5th annual road trip out west, and what a freakin’ way to kick off a trip! Once we finished up our celebrations, they hopped in their van and boogied on to Death Valley, Channel Islands, Joshua Tree, and Mohave!
Choosing a location for your proposal is very much about the romance and sentimentality, which was the reason behind Logan’s choice of Red Rock. Two adventure-loving kids exploring the world any time they can? Yeah, it doesn’t get much better than Red Rock! But when you’re deciding on the perfect spot to propose, what about more practical considerations that could make or break the perfection of your big moment? Let’s dive in:
First up is the cost of booking the location, if any fees exist. For example, the Neon Museum requires booking a portrait session for a proposal photoshoot while Red Rock is open for all.
Next is the travel distance. If you’re already visiting Las Vegas from out of town, you may not want to travel another hour or more to get to a far-out location. Luckily, there are plenty of great spots close to the city!
If you’re a very private couple, consider how comfortable you’ll be at different levels of exposure to the public. Obviously, a sunrise proposal out in the desert is going to be way more private than in front of the Bellagio fountains at night!
Finally, not only does the look and feel of your chosen location matter, but what about how that affects your outfit? Are we going for a romantic (and controlled) sail through the Venetian’s canals, or are we trekking over barbed wire and cacti (seriously, look close in Logan and Blaire’s shots!) because if we are, make sure your love isn’t in strappy sandals, for all of our sakes! Keep these details in mind when scheming up ways to make sure your partner is dressed for the moment in a way they’ll be happy with.
When I’m brainstorming locations, these details are common things that proposing partners will hear and say “ah, I didn’t think about that!” If you want to know more of my thoughts on choosing the right proposal locations, hit me up! I gotchu!
